Wednesday, October 25, 6 pm, Main Library
For ages 7-14. Track down books containing hidden clues that will lead to the monster's secret lair. All participants have their own pace, so everyone succeeds. Everyone is rewarded with their very own monster detective badge! Registration begins October 10 for everyone.

Baby Signs with Miss Fran

Thursdays, September 28 and October 5, 12 & 19, 10:30 am
For babies and toddlers 2 years old and younger. Join us for a unique hands-on class where you and your child will learn signs so that they can communicate before they can talk! This interactive fun class features music with guitar, songs, puppets, instruments, movement, sing language and laughter! Registration begins September 14 for HKDPL cardholders.

Camp Jupiter Book Club

Thursdays, October 5-26, 7 pm
For grades 4-6. You know the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, but do you know about The Heroes of Olympus? We will talk about the Roman and Greek Camps from the Rick Riordan series. Have fun and earn your weekly badge! Registration begins September 21 for everyone.

Family Café

Wednesdays, September 27 and October 25, 6 pm
An hour for parents and caregivers of infants and toddlers to chat together. Teen volunteers will entertain toddlers with library toys and books. Registration begins one week before each program.

For all ages. Rated PG. Watch a spooky movie on Halloween! This thriller weaves a haunting, riveting tale that stays with you long after the explosive ending!

Graphic Novel Book Club

Sunday, October 15, 2 pm
For grades 3-6. Talk about graphic novels! We'll be reading the Bone series by Jeff Smith. Explore the stories and how graphic novels are created. Registration begins September 11, for everyone.

Intro to Opera

Saturday, September 16, 2 pm
Actors ages 3-13 are needed to assist Anne Tormela, Opera Singer, Artistic Director of Manhattan Lyric Opera, to perform in 3 to 4 opera scenes. No singing or prior rehearsal required. Props and costumes are provided. Needed: Kids to play the parts of: fairies, maidens, pirates, mad scientists, a mechanical dancing doll, and more! Parents and teenagers welcome to participate and help out in scenes as well! No registration required.

Preschool Yoga with Miss Sue

Wednesdays, September 27 - October 18, 2 pm
FOr 3-4 year olds without an adult. This playful class will move your child's body and enhance their imagination. Simple yoga poses will be incorporated into games, music, stories and art. Increased body awareness, attention span, energy release, and relaxation are just some of the benefits of this FUN class! Registration begins September 13 for everyone.

Come and read over 100 comic books at the Library using Comics Plus: Library Edition! Featuring top publishers and creators such as Archie Comics, IDW Publishing, Dynamite Entertainment, Image Comics, Red 5 Comics and more.
